A 3-year-old girl was hospitalized in critical condition after being mauled by a pit bull in Moshav Gan Ha-Darom near Ashdod. Doctors at Asuta Hospital reported that the child’s condition remains unstable, although she is conscious.This was reported by israelinfo.
Paramedics from MDA who arrived at the scene confirmed that the dog bit the upper part of the child’s body, causing severe injuries.
This is the second case of dogs attacking young children in recent weeks. In August, a dog bit a 2-year-old girl in Kiryat Motzkin, leaving her in moderate condition. She was immediately taken to Rambam Hospital and underwent surgery. The police questioned the dog’s owners, and the animal was isolated.
In May, in the same Kiryat Motzkin, a pit bull attacked a 72-year-old man, former deputy mayor Meir Daan. The dog leapt at him when he visited his neighbors to ask about their health, knocking him to the ground and biting his neck.
