U.S. Embassy Confirms Death of Attaché at Hilton Hotel in Kyiv

Yesterday, June 25, the body of a U.S. Embassy attaché was found in a room at the Hilton Hotel in Kyiv. The U.S. Embassy in Kyiv confirmed the death to RBC-Ukraine.

“We can confirm the death of a U.S. government employee under the Chief of Mission at the Embassy in Kyiv. The State Department extends its deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of our colleague,” embassy representatives stated.

The causes and circumstances of the death remain unclear at this time. The U.S. Embassy declined to provide additional comments, citing confidentiality concerns.

The diplomat’s death in the capital hotel has caused a significant stir. The American side, in cooperation with Ukrainian law enforcement agencies, is conducting a thorough investigation into the incident.
