Asuta Hospital in Ashdod reports the tragic death of a four-year-old girl from an unknown infection. Analyzes are still being carried out in the laboratory to establish an accurate diagnosis, but the time for the initial studies was catastrophically insufficient, reports Time Ukraine Israel with reference to the Israelinfo source.
On Thursday evening, the girl was admitted to the hospital in serious condition with a high temperature. The fever started just a few hours before she was admitted to the emergency department. The child was immediately put on an antibiotic drip and placed in the intensive care unit.
The doctors did everything they could to stabilize the child’s condition, but it worsened literally by the minute. Soon, the girl was connected to a ventilator and drugs were started to improve cardiac activity. Unfortunately, all the efforts of the doctors were in vain, and the girl died.
At the moment, doctors assume that the cause of death could be a dangerous infection. According to representatives of the hospital, the girl did not have any chronic diseases before.
The tragedy affected all hospital employees who continue to work on establishing an accurate diagnosis and the reasons for such a rapid deterioration of the little patient’s condition.
