Kharkiv, 20 October – Yesterday evening, at around 22:00, Russian aircraft attacked residential areas and civilian infrastructure in Kharkiv. At least 13 people were injured in the attack, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
According to the State Emergency Service, enemy guided aerial bombs hit apartment buildings, private households, petrol stations, as well as cars and garages. The explosions damaged power lines, causing power outages in several areas of the city. Fortunately, thanks to the prompt actions of rescuers, two fires caused by the explosions were quickly contained.
Specialists from the State Emergency Service, including a group of psychologists, were actively working at the scene to provide the necessary support to ten local residents who had suffered emotional shock due to the shelling.
The situation in Kharkiv remains tense as Russian troops continue to use precision weapons to target civilian infrastructure. The local authorities are urging citizens to stay in shelters during alarms and to follow the recommendations of the rescue services.
This strike is yet another confirmation of Russia’s cynical tactics aimed at intimidating the civilian population, which, against all odds, remains resilient and unbreakable. Rescue services continue their heroic work to rescue people and restore infrastructure despite constant shelling.
