Israeli journalist Alexei Zheleznov reported on his Telegram channel that a ballistic missile (according to some reports, two missiles) launched from Yemen and allegedly aimed at Israel landed in Saudi Arabia without reaching its target. The Israeli military identified and tracked the missile.
According to Saudi sources, the missile was shot down by US Navy air defences over Saudi Arabia. The details of the incident, including the exact location of the wreckage or the type of missile, have not yet been specified.
This incident is yet another indication of the tense situation in the region, where Yemen, in particular the Houthi controlled territories, has repeatedly become a source of missile attacks. Israel and its allies, including the United States, continue to coordinate efforts to counter such threats using advanced missile defence systems. Further details of the incident are still being investigated, but it has already drawn international attention to the escalation of the conflict in the Middle East.
