As of 17 January 2025, the average selling rate of the US dollar in Ukraine fell to UAH 42.65, while the euro fell to UAH 44.05, continuing the trend of hryvnia strengthening, which has been going on for three days in a row.
According to market monitoring data published by RBC-Ukraine, the average purchase price of a dollar at exchange offices is UAH 42.15, and the average price of a euro is UAH 43.35.
On the interbank market, the US currency is quoted at 42.13-42.16 UAH/USD, which is one kopeck cheaper than the previous day.
The National Bank of Ukraine also noted a decline in the dollar to UAH 42.1729 per dollar (-UAH 0.0930) and the euro to UAH 43.32 (-UAH 0.2097).
This decline is an important signal to the market, pointing to the stability of the hryvnia and changes in exchange rates amid the economic situation in Ukraine.
