In the context of escalating threats in Europe, in particular due to Russia’s ongoing aggression against Ukraine, the Israeli defence company Elbit Systems has signed a strategic contract to supply advanced weapons to a European partner. The total value of the deal, which includes missile launchers and drones, is $335 million. This is another step in strengthening the security of European countries that are actively building up their military capabilities. These systems are part of the product range of Elbit Systems, a company known for its innovations in the defence sector. The PULS missile system, capable of launching both unguided missiles and precision-guided munitions at various ranges, is one of the most important in modern combat conditions. The Hermes 900 UAV, in turn, is versatile and capable of performing a variety of tasks, from air patrol to reconnaissance and targeting, making it indispensable for modern armed forces.
The contract will last for three and a half years, which will allow for a steady supply of the latest technologies and strengthen the defence capabilities of European countries during this extremely important period.

The contract with the European partner adds to Elbit Systems’ impressive order book, which has already reached a record $21 billion. This not only enhances the company’s international reputation, but also confirms its status as one of the leaders in the production of advanced military technologies. In particular, the Hermes 900 is a drone that is actively used by the Israeli armed forces and is in demand among international customers. Since the first export contract in 2011, Hermes 900 has been ordered by more than 20 countries.

Equally important news was Elbit Systems’ recent agreement with the Israeli Ministry of Defence to supply Iron Beam laser interceptor systems. The value of this contract is estimated at $200 million. The system is designed to counter missile threats and will become a key element of Israel’s air defence system a year after it is commissioned.
