The German company HENSOLDT is considering the possibility of deploying defence production in Ukraine. This was announced by Minister for Strategic Industries Herman Smetanin on his Telegram channel.
“Today we had a working meeting with representatives of HENSOLDT. The company produces radars that are already being supplied to the Ukrainian army, in particular with the support of the German government. HENSOLDT is currently exploring opportunities to deepen cooperation at the level of defence production,” the minister said.
According to him, the meeting discussed the details of potential partnership and localisation of production. Smetanin emphasised that Ukraine is interested in cooperation with such powerful players in the defence technology market.
HENSOLDT is one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of high-tech surveillance systems, radars and military electronics, which are widely used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
