On the morning of 4 April, a car explosion occurred in the Dnipro region, injuring a local official and his wife. This was reported by the police of Dnipropetrovs’k region.
“Law enforcement received a report of the explosion at around 7:40 a.m. today. The driver of the car, a local official, and his wife were injured,” the police said in a statement.
According to Ukrayinska Pravda’s source in law enforcement, the victim is the head of the Dnipro Left Bank City Administration, Yuriy Fedko.
Investigators, officers of the Security Service of Ukraine, the Prosecutor’s Office and the First Deputy Head of the National Police, Head of the Main Investigation Department Maksim Tsutskiridze immediately arrived at the scene.
All the circumstances of the incident are currently being investigated. Law enforcers are deciding on the legal classification of the crime – various versions are being considered, including a targeted assassination attempt.
Information on the health status of the victims is being clarified.
