On 16 November 2024, the final of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest took place in Madrid, where Ukraine won the bronze medal for the first time in 11 years. The contest, held in the Spanish capital, was won by Georgia, which set a new record by winning the contest for the fourth time. Georgian participant Andriy Putkaradze with his song dedicated to his mother “To My Mom” received 180 points from the jury and 59 points from the audience, which ensured his victory. The second place on the podium went to Portugal, represented by Victoria Nicole with her song “Esperança”. Her performance impressed the jury and the audience, gaining 139 points in total.
Ukraine took third place. Artem Kotenko, who represented our country, touched everyone with his performance of “Hear Me Now” about the importance of home and family values. His impressive vocals and emotional performance earned him 122 points from the jury and 81 points from the audience, which formed the basis for his total score of 203 points.
This bronze medal was a significant achievement for Ukraine, highlighting the high level of young talent and their ability to impress European audiences.
