On Tuesday night, a number of critical military-industrial enterprises were attacked by drones in Russia. Manufacturers of Grad, communication systems and anti-tank weapons were under fire.
This was announced by the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation, Andriy Kovalenko.
Saransk, Mordovia.
The drones hit the Optical Fibre Systems plant, which is a key supplier of communications equipment to the Russian army. The company manufactures cables for military drones that operate on a fibre-optic basis. According to ASTRA, another building was also on fire near the plant.
Tula.
Two strategic facilities were hit at once:
▪ Design Bureau of Instrumentation JSC, the flagship of the Russian military-industrial complex, where anti-tank missile systems, small arms and combat modules are produced.
▪ NPO Splav is the main manufacturer of multiple launch rocket systems such as Grad, Uragan, Smerch, which are actively used against Ukraine.
According to Kovalenko, both companies have close ties with Rostec and are priority objects of Russian defence production.
So far, the Russian authorities have not officially commented on the situation. At the same time, a series of attacks on military factories demonstrates the vulnerability of the rear infrastructure even in the deep Russian region.
