Average salary in Ukraine increased by more than 20%: leaders and outsiders

The average salary of full-time employees in Ukraine increased by 22.2% in January-October 2024, reaching UAH 20,592. This was reported by the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.

Leaders in terms of salaries
The highest salaries were traditionally recorded in the Information and Telecommunications sector, where the average salary increased by 37.7% to UAH 50,752.

Other high-paying industries:

  • Financial and insurance activitiesUAH 40,194 (+20.5%);
  • Professional, scientific and technical activitiesUAH 28,167 (+24.6%);
  • Public administration and defenceUAH 26,904 (+24.0%).

Outsiders
The lowest level of salaries was recorded in the education sector, where the average salary was only UAH 13,970. Growth in this sector was the lowest, at only 15.6%.

The dynamics show uneven salary growth in different industries. Technology, finance, and defence industries are showing the greatest progress, while education remains the lowest paid sector.
