On 1 October 2024, new electricity tariffs came into effect in Ukraine, which significantly reduced the price for consumers using electric heating. According to Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 632, the price for this category of consumers is now UAH 2.64 per kWh, but only for the first 2,000 kWh per month. This tariff will remain in effect until 30 April 2025.

For all other consumers, the tariffs remain at UAH 4.32 per kWh, which was set on 1 June. This decision is aimed at supporting Ukrainians in what is expected to be a difficult heating season.

Discounts for owners of two-zone and three-zone meters

Also, Ukrainians with two-zone meters can save money: from 07:00 to 23:00, the tariff is UAH 4.32, while at night (from 23:00 to 07:00) it is only UAH 2.16. Owners of three-zone meters can benefit from even more favourable conditions: the night tariff from 23:00 to 07:00 is UAH 1.728, while the peak tariff (08:00-11:00 and 20:00-22:00) reaches UAH 6.48.

Outlook for 2025

However, experts warn that tariffs may rise next year. Yasno urged not to panic and not to believe rumours of significant increases, noting that there is no official information on tariff changes yet.

Consumers have the opportunity to plan their electricity costs using the new tariffs and consider options for saving money.
