Experts: UAH 1000 payments and “teacher’s supplement” will not significantly affect inflation

1000 грн

Payments of UAH 1,000 to Ukrainians, as well as a monthly “teacher’s allowance” of the same amount, will not have a significant impact on inflation, economic experts predict. According to Olena Korobkova, Chairman of the Board of the League of Banks of Ukraine, the effect of these payments will be limited to 0.5-1% and will not be significant against the background of the current economic situation in the country.

“These payments are an important support for many segments of the population, but their impact on inflation will not be significant, given the current economic situation,” Korobkova said at a briefing at the Ukraine Media Centre on the topic “Financial stability of the country and citizens”.

We remind you that Ukraine has introduced financial support programmes for various categories of citizens, including UAH 1,000 payments for all citizens and additional monthly payments for teachers. These measures are aimed at maintaining social stability in the face of economic difficulties.

Despite the fact that these payments help a large part of the population, experts say that they will not have a serious impact on inflation. According to them, this is due to the fact that the main drivers of inflation in Ukraine are currently external economic factors and internal structural problems.

In addition, as part of the country’s financial stability, a new system for grain accounting was presented. The register of grain warehouse documents, which is now available through the Diia.Engine Unified Platform of Government Registers, allows for efficient management of forms as they move between warehouses. The system includes a web browser interface for elevators, an API for exchanging information with accounting systems, and integration with the Unified State Register of Legal Entities (USRE). This significantly increases the level of security and convenience of working with the register for banks and other users.
