In November 2024, the State Customs Service of Ukraine transferred UAH 51.3 billion of customs payments to the state budget, which is UAH 12.1 billion more than in the same period last year. This was reported by the press service of the State Customs Service, citing data on the implementation of the indicative revenue target.
In general, the indicative indicator of customs revenues in November was fulfilled by 78.7%. However, this figure reflects a decrease in the volume of imports of goods to Ukraine, which was one of the main reasons for not achieving the full target.
“Due to the stable operation of Ukrainian business, the budget received UAH 51.3 billion in customs payments. This is UAH 12.1 billion more than in November 2023,” the statement said.
One of the reasons for the decline in customs revenues is the continuing downward trend in the volume of imports of goods to Ukraine. In addition, the dynamics of customs transfers was significantly influenced by customs duty privileges, which increased by UAH 1.7 billion compared to October and totalled UAH 22.5 billion, which is 60% more than last year.
It is noted that there were also situations when protesters in Poland blocked checkpoints on the border, which led to obstacles to the passage of trucks to enter Ukraine.
Since the beginning of 2024, the state budget has received UAH 537.6 billion in customs payments, which is UAH 122.5 billion more than in the same period last year.
For comparison, in September 2024, the country received UAH 52.3 billion in customs payments, which is UAH 1.2 billion more than in August.
