Ministry of Finance: Ukraine allocated UAH 191.5 billion for social payments in the first half of 2025

Between January and June 2025, the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine timely and fully funded social payments from the state budget in the amount of UAH 191.5 billion, the press service of the Ministry of Finance reports.

In the first half of the year, the state budget funds administered by the Ministry of Social Policy were used for the following main purposes:

  • UAH 113.5 billion – to provide financial support for the payment of pensions, bonuses and increases to pensions under the Pension Fund’s pension programmes;
  • UAH 32.8 billion for social protection of citizens in difficult life circumstances, including more than 750,000 internally displaced persons (IDPs);
  • UAH 7.1 billion to support more than 170,000 low-income families;
  • UAH 24.9 billion to provide benefits and housing subsidies to more than 2.7 million households;
  • UAH 11.0 billion was allocated for social protection of children and families, covering more than 570,000 recipients;
  • UAH 2.2 billion for social support for people with disabilities.

The Ministry of Finance stressed that social stability remains a priority in the state’s budget policy even in the face of a full-scale war.
