In January 2025, the State Customs Service of Ukraine generated UAH 47.5 billion in customs revenues to the state budget. This figure corresponds to 100.8% of the planned revenues set by the Ministry of Finance. This was reported by the State Customs Service.
“The resilience of domestic business, which is actively engaged in foreign economic activity despite the military situation, as well as the coordinated work of the customs authorities, allowed us to ensure stable revenues to the state treasury,” the agency said.
Import dynamics and key budget-forming goods
Despite the overall level of customs revenues, the volume of taxed imports decreased by 6.2% compared to January 2024. At the same time, the largest budget revenues were generated by:
- Petroleum products – UAH 8.8 billion
- Passenger cars – UAH 3.6 billion
- Mineral fertilisers – UAH 1.4 billion
- Petroleum gases – UAH 1.3 billion
- Electricity – UAH 897 million
Significant customs payments also came from imports:
- Telephone sets – UAH 876.7 million
- Plant protection products (insecticides, fungicides, herbicides ) – UAH 814 million
- Automatic data processing machines – UAH 532 million
- Tyres and tyres – UAH 504 million
Customs payments in the general budget
According to the Ministry of Finance, in January 2025, the general fund of the state budget received UAH 128.2 billion, which indicates the stability of the country’s financial system even in a wartime economy.
