In January-September 2024, UAH 1.3 trillion was allocated from the state budget for the security and defence sector of Ukraine. In September, this amount was UAH 146.9 billion. This was reported by the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine on Telegram.
According to the Ministry of Finance, these expenditures accounted for 57.6% of the total expenditures of the general fund of the state budget in the current year. The funds are allocated to cover a wide range of needs, including the provision of military personnel, the purchase of equipment and weapons, personal protective equipment, ammunition, fuel and lubricants, food, and medical care.
Ensuring security remains a budget priority amid the current challenges facing the country, the Ministry of Finance emphasises.
