Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Iryna Mudra met with Kristina Mikulova, the newly appointed Head of the European Investment Bank’s (EIB) Regional Eastern Europe Office, to discuss expanding strategic cooperation between Ukraine and the EIB, the press service of the Presidential Office reported.

The focus was on investments in critical infrastructure and financing projects for Ukraine’s economic recovery. One of the key issues was energy security, as well as the restoration of transport and logistics infrastructure connecting Ukraine with the European Union.

The European Investment Bank confirmed its readiness to support projects aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s energy independence and modernising strategic infrastructure facilities. The parties also discussed the EIB’s participation in the EU’s Ukraine Facility programme, which provides €50 billion for Ukraine’s reconstruction and development.
