Ukraine has received about $1.2 billion from Japan through World Bank projects, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said on his Telegram channel.

The funds were received in November-December 2024 and will be used to support various areas of the country’s life, including:

  • Social projects
  • The medical sector
  • Educational initiatives
  • Business recovery and support.

This significant funding is part of the international support for Ukraine in times of war and contributes to the restoration and development of key sectors of the economy and social infrastructure.
