As of 21 April 2025, more than 2.6 thousand agricultural enterprises have attracted UAH 15.4 billion under the state programme “Affordable Loans 5-7-9%“, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food reports.
The programme remains a key financial instrument to support the agricultural sector, with a particular focus on expanding access to cheap loans in preparation for the sowing season and investment in processing.
Agrarians attracted the most loans:
- Kyiv region – UAH 1.71 billion (232 enterprises)
- Chernihiv region – UAH 1.53 billion (192 enterprises)
- Kirovohrad region – UAH 1.25 billion (250 enterprises)
- Odesa region – UAH 1.16 billion (210 enterprises)
In total, in 2025, the agricultural sector has already received almost UAH 34.6 billion of credit resources under various state support programmes.
The programme has been expanded: now agricultural producers investing in the construction of vegetable and potato storage facilities can receive compensation for loans of up to UAH 150 million. This also applies to livestock and processing companies.
Context: Against the backdrop of a full-scale war, the state is focusing on strategic support for food security, the development of food storage and the financial stability of farms.
