President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed the law on the state budget for 2025, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said on Thursday, 28 November.
According to Shmyhal, the main priority of the budget is to ensure the country’s defence capability. Thus, UAH 2.23 trillion has been allocated to finance the Security and Defence Forces, as well as the purchase and production of weapons, equipment and drones.
The budget also provides UAH 420.9 billion for social protection, UAH 217 billion for healthcare and UAH 199 billion for education.
The total budget expenditures for 2025 are UAH 3.6 trillion, while revenues are UAH 2.05 trillion.
“The government clearly understands that we will go through the next financial year with confidence, we have the coherence of the branches of government and the strong support of our partners,” the Prime Minister concluded.
