The ex-hostage thanked the former US president for his efforts and asked him to continue the fight
Former Hamas hostage Agam Berger, who was released from captivity as part of a ceasefire agreement, addressed Donald Trump in a video message thanking him for his efforts to return Israeli hostages.
According to Cursorinfo, Trump reposted the video on his Truth Social page, but did not leave any comments.
What did Berger say?
“I thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you have done and continue to do for us. Thanks to you, we are back home,” she said in her address.
“But many people are still in captivity. You have the power to change that. I implore you to continue the fight until all hostages – both living and dead – are brought home,” Berger said.
Trump did not respond, but supported the initiative?
Trump’s reaction to this appeal remains unknown, but his reposting of the video shows his attention to the issue of Israeli hostages.
This video message was part of a broader campaign by Israeli activists and families of the prisoners, who are calling on international leaders, including the United States, to put pressure on Hamas to release the hostages.
Israel prepares to return bodies of dead hostages
Meanwhile, on Thursday, with the mediation of third parties, Israel will receive the bodies of five hostages held by Hamas.
The Israeli Defence Forces have already begun preparations for the handover, which, according to the military, will be a very difficult day for the country.
The issue of releasing living prisoners remains a key diplomatic and security challenge for Israel, the United States and other international partners.
The situation continues to evolve, and the pressure on Hamas is growing.
