The Hamas terrorist group has said that the process of releasing hostages may be delayed due to alleged delays in the provision of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. This was reported by the AFP news agency, citing sources within the group.
According to Hamas representatives, the uninterrupted transfer of humanitarian aid is one of the key points of the current hostage deal. The group claims that any reduction in the amount of aid or its delay could affect the transfer of prisoners. This was also reported by the Israeli publication Cursorinfo.co.il.
Israel has not yet officially commented on these allegations. However, authorities have previously repeatedly stressed that humanitarian corridors in Gaza are working and that aid is being delivered in accordance with the agreements.
Hamas ‘s statement came amid ongoing negotiations mediated by Qatar, Egypt and the United States, which are trying to reach a new agreement on a ceasefire and the release of hostages. At the same time, the Israeli army continues operations in Gaza, insisting that their goal is to destroy terrorist cells and ensure security for civilians.
The situation remains tense, and any delay or disruption to the agreement could have serious consequences for both sides.
