Hamas plans to release three hostages from Nova festival: cars with hostages already in place in Nusairat

In the centre of Nusairat, Gaza Strip, Hamas is preparing to release three more Israeli hostages. According to the latest reports, the vehicles carrying the kidnapped are already in place and the transfer process may be about to begin.

The names of those released:

🔸 O mer Venkert (23) – from the city of Gedera, abducted at the Nova festival.

🔸 Elijah Cohen (27) – from Tsur Adassa, captured by terrorists during the attack.

🔸 O mer Shem-Tov (21) – from Herzliya, one of the youngest hostages.

The context of the events

The Nova Festival was the epicentre of a horrific attack on 7 October 2023. Hamas terrorists attacked the event, killing hundreds of participants and kidnapping dozens of people. Today’s release is part of the ongoing negotiations between Israel and Hamas, mediated by Qatar and Egypt.

The process of dismissal

The cars with the hostages are already in the centre of Nusairat. Representatives of the Red Cross are on site to coordinate the transfer process and ensure the safety of the released prisoners.
