The press service of the IDF (Israeli Defence Forces) and the Islamic State Agency (ISA) issued a joint statement on the night’s military operation. According to them , the Israeli Air Force managed to eliminate Muhammad Hasham Zahedi Abu al-Rus, a well-known terrorist from the Nuhba group who was involved in the attack on the Nova music festival on 7 October 2023.

In a number of other joint operations over the past 24 hours, approximately 50 terrorist targets were struck across the Gaza Strip. The attacks targeted members of Hamas and Islamic Jihad, as well as military installations, weapons depots, launchers, weapons production facilities and observation posts.

The IDF notes that prior to the strikes, numerous measures were taken to minimise the risk to civilians and civilian infrastructure, including the use of aerial surveillance, precision weapons and additional intelligence.

The statement also criticised Hamas, which continues to use civilians for its terrorist purposes in violation of international law. The IDF emphasises its determination to continue to act against the terrorist threats posed by these organisations.
