The Israeli Defence Forces(IDF) will not cease its operational activities and will remain fully operational in all sectors, even during the week of Passover, which began on 11 April 2025.
Southern Command: IDF forces continue ground operations in the Gaza Strip. Units of the Gaza Division are operating in the Tel Sultan and Shabura areas of Rafah, as well as on the outskirts of Khan Younis. Troops of the 36th Division are operating in the Rafah area and along the Morag route, while the 252nd Division is operating in Shejaya and Beit Lahiya in the northern Gaza Strip. In recent days, the soldiers have been eliminating terrorists, identifying and destroying terrorist infrastructure both on the surface and underground, and expanding the security perimeter.
Northern Command: IDF forces continue to protect communities in the Galilee, remaining deployed along the entire border, including five positions in southern Lebanon. Their main goal is to ensure the security of settlements in the sector.
Syria: In the Golan Heights, IDF units are performing frontline defence tasks, eliminating threats, confiscating weapons and acting to ensure the safety of local residents.
Central Command: Troops continue defensive operations, ensuring security on roads, in recreational areas and tourist sites. In northern Samaria, forces are focused on terrorist hotspots. This week, operations were conducted in Tubas and Nablus. Night raids continue in villages in Judea and Samaria to counter terrorist activity.
Air Force (Air Force): The Israeli Air Force operates in both offensive and defensive modes, maintaining high readiness. In the Gaza Strip, the air force eliminates terrorists, strikes their infrastructure and supports ground forces. Over the past week, the Air Force has hit over 370 targets in Gaza. On the defence front, the air defence system remains deployed and on high alert to protect Israeli airspace.
Navy: The Israeli Navy maintains a manoeuvrable force in the Gaza Strip and is on alert for both offensive and defensive maritime missions in all operational areas.
Technology and logistics support: The staff of the Directorate of Technology and Logistics ensures the smooth operation of the IDF in all sectors.
The IDF demonstrates an unwavering commitment to the protection of the country and its citizens, even during the holiday season, when family and religious values are traditionally emphasised. Operational activity during Passover underscores the complexity of the security situation facing Israel.
