On Thursday, the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF), in coordination with the security services, conducted a precision strike in the Gaza City area, which resulted in the elimination of Said Ahmad Abed Khudari, a key intermediary in financing the terrorist activities of the Hamas group.
According to official information, Khudari for many years served as a currency exchanger and headed the financial structure Al Wefaq Co. which was recognised by the Israeli Ministry of Defence as a terrorist organisation due to its active involvement in the transfer of funds for terrorist purposes.
His role became particularly significant after 7 October, the date of the brutal Hamas attack on Israel. Since then, Said Khudari has made numerous money transfers for the needs of Hamas’s militant wing. After the elimination of his brother Hamed Khudari, who was also one of the group’s main financial channels, Said significantly intensified his activities.
The IDF said in a statement that the removal of Said Khudari deals a serious blow to Hamas’ financial infrastructure, significantly weakening the organisation’s ability to rebuild its weapons and combat capabilities.
The Israeli Armed Forces reaffirm their determination to continue to attack all levels of terrorist infrastructure, including logistics, finance and command, in order to protect the security of Israeli citizens.
