Today, the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) reported an armed incident in the Khomesh area, which is part of the Samaria Regional Brigade’s area of responsibility. A terrorist opened fire on Israeli soldiers, endangering their lives.
IDF soldiers promptly returned fire and neutralised the attacker. According to the army, there were no casualties among Israeli soldiers.
Security forces are currently working at the scene, and an investigation into the circumstances of the incident is underway. The IDF continues to maintain a high level of alert in the Samaria region in light of the tense security situation.
