The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrsky, on Friday, July 12, announced in his Telegram channel about important achievements in the field of application of robotic and unmanned systems on the battlefield.

“The other day I visited one of the training centers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, where experimental tests of various forms of complex application of ground and air robotic and unmanned systems in real combat conditions are ongoing. This is an extremely important project, and we already have the first successes in its implementation,” the general said.

According to Syrskyi, modern combat operations are characterized by the active use of robotic systems in the order of battle of a combined-arms unit. Such systems help ensure the removal of personnel from the most dangerous areas, replacing them with robots.

“My high priority is the rapid practical implementation of innovative combat unmanned and robotic ground and air platforms in the troops,” the commander-in-chief emphasized.

Syrsky also added that the main goal is to shorten the path from laboratory research to mass production and practical use in combat units. The implementation of these innovations will significantly increase the effectiveness of the Armed Forces and reduce risks for personnel.
