The Office of the Israeli Prime Minister has issued a statement refuting accusations by the terrorist organization Hamas of obstructing negotiations for a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip and the release of hostages.

In an official statement released by Benjamin Netanyahu’s press office, it is claimed that Hamas is the one hindering the agreement. “Israel has not made any changes to the initial framework of the agreement or added new conditions. On the contrary, Hamas has demanded 29 modifications to the original plan and has not accepted it. Israel adheres to its principles, which include securing the maximum number of live hostages, controlling the Philadelphi Corridor, and preventing the infiltration of terrorists and weapons into northern Gaza,” the statement said.

Earlier, Hamas released its version of events, asserting that during a meeting in Rome, Israel presented new amendments to the agreement that contradict previous agreements. Hamas’s statement read: “It is clear that Netanyahu has returned to the old strategy of delaying negotiations to avoid reaching an agreement.”

Negotiations between Israel and Hamas continue amid rising regional tensions, with neither side willing to make significant compromises. Further developments in this process could determine not only the future situation in the Gaza Strip but also regional stability.
