Israeli Defence Minister Yisrael Katz has warned residents of the Gaza Strip of the consequences if Israeli hostages are not released and Hamas is not eliminated. The video message came against the backdrop of a new military operation by the Israeli Defence Forces in the enclave.

According to Katz, the air attacks on Hamas positions were only the initial phase of a large-scale operation. The conflict will only escalate further, and the consequences for Gaza will be much more serious.

A warning for Gaza

“People of Gaza, this is the last warning. The first Sinwar destroyed Gaza, and the second Sinwar will destroy it completely. Evacuations from the war zones will resume in the near future. If all Israeli hostages are not released and Hamas is not expelled from Gaza, Israel will use forces you do not know about yet,” Katz said.

He also mentioned the position of the United States and called on Gazans to heed the words of the US president: “Return the hostages and destroy Hamas, and other opportunities will open up for you.”

Alternatives for the population

Katz noted that those who wish can leave for other countries, which he said is an affordable option for the population. Otherwise, he warned of the possibility of complete destruction and devastation of the enclave.

The situation in the Gaza Strip continues to deteriorate, and Israel’s ultimatum indicates its readiness to take decisive action in the absence of concessions from Hamas.
