The family of Shiri, Ariel and Kfir Bibas reported that the funeral ceremony will take place on Wednesday, 25 February. The victims will pay their last respects in a narrow family circle – only close relatives and friends will be allowed to attend the ceremony.

“Next Wednesday, we will be laying Shiri, Ariel and Kfir to rest. We know that many of you would like to attend, but to give the family the opportunity to say goodbye in a private setting, the ceremony will be closed to the general public. At the same time, it is important for us that everyone has the opportunity to pay their last respects – we will soon publish the route of the funeral procession,” the family said in an official statement.

The tragic deaths of Shiri, Ariel and little Kfir have shaken Israeli society, which has been united in prayer and hope since the first days of the tragedy. The Bibas family received many words of support from Israelis and the international community.

It is expected that the route of the funeral procession will allow many people to take part in the farewell, albeit from a distance, honouring the memory of the victims.

Israel is mourning with the Bibas family these days, recalling the importance of unity and support in the darkest moments.
