The Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) reported the launch of a missile from Yemen towards Israel. This is stated in an official statement by the military.
“Initial report: The Israeli Defence Forces detected a rocket being launched from Yemen towards Israeli territory. Air defence systems of the Israeli Air Force were activated to intercept the threat,” the IDF said.
The situation is currently being assessed, and no information on the results of the air defence operation has been released.
The rear command called on citizens to follow instructions and stay in shelters in case of an alarm. The situation remains tense amid a general deterioration in the security situation in the region.
