Poland’s largest opposition party, Law and Justice (PiS), is ahead of Prime Minister Donald Tusk’s Civic Coalition, according to a new poll conducted by United Surveys and commissioned by Wirtualna Polska. According to the results, PiS won the support of 32.4% of respondents, while Tusk’s coalition has 29.2% of support.

The poll showed that the PiS party managed to significantly increase its support, gaining an additional 5 percentage points over the past month. In contrast, the Civic Coalition lost 2.1 percentage points. In third place with 13.5 per cent was the far-right Confederation party, which also showed an increase of 3.6 points.

The poll found that fewer voters remain undecided compared to the previous month, as the number of those who were undecided dropped from 11% to 5.4%.

At the same time, another poll showed that the ratings of the two main rivals are almost equal, with a slight advantage for the Civic Coalition – 31.9% against 30.7% for Law and Justice. At the same time, Civic Coalition candidate Rafał Trzaskowski leads the presidential race with 29.8%, although his support has dropped by nine points since December.

These data indicate a high degree of political competition and possible tensions in the next elections, highlighting the volatility of electoral sentiment in Poland.
