7 April – Kharkiv region – On the morning of 7 April, Russian troops attacked settlements in Kharkiv region six times, causing fires, destruction of residential buildings and injuries to civilians. This was reported by the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, on Telegram.
Kupiansk in the crosshairs
The first strike on Kupiansk occurred at 5:44 am. A Russian missile hit the 9th floor of a high-rise building, causing a fire over an area of 100 m².
People were injured as a result of the shelling:
– 67-year-old man
– 79-year-old woman
Half an hour later, at 6:13 a.m., the enemy shelled Kupyansk again, damaging the roofs of five private houses.
The third strike, at 7:37 a.m., caused fires in an outbuilding and a 200 m² house.
Shelling in Bohodukhiv district
– 07:57 – on the outskirts of Berezivka village, the enemy struck with a CAB (guided aerial bomb).
– 08:20 – FPV drones attacked the village of Ivashky, damaging two private houses, outbuildings and street power lines.
– 08:36 – a strike on Kupyansk-Vuzlove, as a result of which private houses were burning.
Large-scale threat to civilians
“It’s just one morning – six attacks, destroyed houses, casualties, fires. The aggressor is deliberately hitting civilian infrastructure and civilians,” emphasised Syniehubov.
Rescuers, police and utility services are currently working on the ground. The UWA urges residents not to ignore the alarms and not to stay in the shelling zone unnecessarily.
