According to the Cursorinfo portal, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had a telephone conversation with US President Joe Biden to discuss the progress of negotiations on the release of Israeli hostages. Netanyahu briefed Biden on the current efforts and the mandate given to the delegation of negotiators who travelled to Doha to speed up the process of returning the detainees.
The Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to Biden for his support in this matter and thanked President-elect Donald Trump, who also took part in facilitating the talks. During the conversation, it was noted that the negotiations are ongoing with the active mediation of the United States, Qatar and other international partners.
The Israeli leadership emphasises the importance of maintaining international pressure on terrorist groups to complete the process of releasing hostages as soon as possible.
