The evening comment by the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office sparked a wave of discussion over the dismissal of 55 Palestinian doctors, including the director of Shifa Hospital, Muhammad Abu Salmiya. The commentary called this move “a grave mistake and moral failure,” and Abu Salmiya himself a man who should be in prison.

Accusation

Prime Minister Netanyahu said that Muhammad Abu Salmiya was responsible for the killings and the holding of Israeli hostages.

Emergency investigation

Netanyahu ordered a thorough investigation into the causes of this incident and demanded that the head of ŞABAK present the results within a day. SHABAK has already released its findings, placing responsibility for the release on the Prisons Authority and National Security Minister Ben Gvir. However, Netanyahu’s office said that it had “not heard” these conclusions.

Special group for approval of dismissals

To prevent similar cases in the future, the prime minister announced the creation of a special group of representatives of the Shabak, the IDF and the national security headquarters. This group will check and approve the personal files of detainees before their release.

Encouraging news about the progress of the operation

At the end of his speech, Netanyahu announced the IDF’s significant successes in the operation against Hamas, saying that the army is getting closer to destroying the terrorist organization. The prime minister emphasized that all the war goals would be achieved, including the release of hostages and the return of residents to northern cities.
