On the night of 13 April, Russian troops carried out another air attack on the territory of Ukraine, using 55 Shahed attack drones. This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the military, the air defence forces destroyed 43 kamikaze drones. Another 12 were “locationally lost,” meaning they may have failed to reach their targets or crashed in deserted areas.

UAVs were launched from the Russian cities of Orel, Kursk and Primorsko-Akhtarsk. Hostile UAVs were shot down in the northern, southern and central regions of Ukraine.

There has been no information on damage to facilities or casualties.

The Air Force clarified that it had initially reported 43 drones launched, but later updated the data to put the total number of UAVs launched by Russia at 55.
