Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson arrived in Kyiv on 24 February, the third anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion. The politician announced this on the social network X.

He said he was proud to be in the capital of Ukraine on this day and expressed his admiration for the resilience of the Ukrainian people. Johnson stressed that Ukrainians continue their heroic struggle against “a heinous act of unprovoked aggression” and categorically rejected the disinformation that is currently being spread about the outbreak of war.

The politician also urged not to panic and to soberly assess the facts, in particular regarding the United States’ continued support for Ukraine under the leadership of Donald Trump. He assured that he remains convinced of Ukraine’s great future as a free, sovereign and independent state.

Boris Johnson, who headed the UK government in the first year of the full-scale war, has become one of Ukraine’s most active international allies. Even after the end of his prime ministerial term, he continues to support Kyiv and advocates for increased assistance to the Ukrainian army.
