Cabinet dismisses Deputy Defence Minister Dmytro Klimenkov

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has decided to dismiss Dmytro Klimenkov from the post of Deputy Minister of Defence.

This was announced on his Telegram channel by the Permanent Representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk.

“The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has dismissed Dmytro Olehovych Klymenkov from the post of Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine,” he wrote.

Appointment and activities
Dmytro Klymenkov was appointed Deputy Minister of Defence on 5 October 2023. His dismissal is part of the personnel changes implemented by the Minister of Defence of Ukraine Rustem Umerov to optimise the work of the Ministry of Defence.

Earlier, Umerov also said that the Ministry of Defence would not extend the contract with the current head of the Defence Procurement Agency, Maryna Bezrukova, and Arsen Zhumadilov would be appointed as the new director of the Defence Procurement Agency.
