Germany has become a steadfast partner of Ukraine, providing the highest level of support among European countries.
During the VII Ukrainian-German Economic Forum, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz confirmed that Germany will provide Ukraine with the sixth IRIS-T air defence system and Patriot launchers by the end of the year. This step will significantly increase the defence capability of our country, helping to save Ukrainian lives and strengthen security on all fronts. This was reported by Time Ukraine Israel, citing the official telegram channel of the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.
Germany is the largest donor among European countries, having already provided 37 billion euros in military, humanitarian and economic assistance to Ukraine. This contribution not only strengthens Ukraine’s defence capabilities, but is also essential for the stability of the state in times of war.
Investments and guarantees for Ukrainian business
Germany actively supports not only Ukraine’s defence but also its economic stability. The German government has offered a number of state investment and export guarantee programmes, which allows German companies to continue operating in the Ukrainian market despite the challenges posed by martial law. To date, 53 investment guarantees have been provided for German projects in Ukraine, totalling almost EUR 382 million.
German business is not leaving Ukraine: support continues
Despite the challenging times, no German company has left the Ukrainian market since the start of the full-scale invasion. Moreover, many German companies continue to invest in Ukraine, which is a clear indication of their confidence in our country and its economic prospects. This, in turn, contributes not only to the recovery, but also to the future growth of Ukraine’s economy after the victory.
This partnership between the two countries is an important step towards Ukraine’s stability and development, giving hope for a rapid recovery and prosperity after the war.
