In an important event that underlines the cooperation between state institutions and religious communities, the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, headed by Kyrylo Budanov, visited the Chief Rabbi of Kyiv, Yonatan Binyamin Markovych. During the meeting, Budanov presented the rabbi with a certificate confirming his support and assistance to Ukrainian intelligence.
This event coincided with the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah, which was an additional reason for holiday wishes. Rav Markowitz warmly greeted Budanov and presented him with a special set of stamps, symbolising his gratitude and deep respect for the work of the Ukrainian forces.
The meeting was an important step in strengthening ties between military and religious leaders, underlining the importance of unity and support in this difficult time for Ukraine.
