In connection with the massive US strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities, a regime of emergency restrictions has been declared throughout Israel. The relevant decision was approved by the Minister of Defence of the country and made public by the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF).
The country switches to the operation of only vital services
According to the IDF, starting at 3:45 a.m., all regions of Israel have been transferred from partial activity to the mode of operation of exclusively vital services. This includes a complete ban on educational activities, mass gatherings and any work activity outside of critical sectors.
“The public is required to strictly follow the instructions published through the official channels of the Internal Command,” the military said in a statement.
Context: security escalation after the US attack
The decision to introduce emergency restrictions was a reaction to the sudden and large-scale US military operation against Iran. As a reminder, the air strikes completely destroyed nuclear facilities in Fordo, Natanz and Isfahan. US President Donald Trump has already announced his readiness for new strikes if Tehran does not agree to peace.
In the context of heightened tensions, Israel is expected to continue to take measures to ensure internal security and to respond promptly to a possible response from Iran or its allies in the region.
