Yitzhak Kreutzer, a member of the Israeli parliament from the far-right Otzma Yehudit party, called on Elon Musk to investigate how USAID funds are used in Israel. According to him, American funds could be used to “unduly influence” the internal affairs of the country. This was reported by The Jerusalem Post.

Kreutzer, with the support of Ad Kan, sent an official letter to Musk stating that US public funds are being distributed “opaquely” not only in Israel, but also in the Middle East and other regions. He called on Musk and his Department of Government Effectiveness (DOGE) to investigate these financial flows.

“It is already clear from open sources that USAID and other US government agencies have allocated millions of dollars to organisations, media and journalists in Israel. This is a matter of national security and the democratic process,” Kreutzer said.

The MP invited Musk or his representative to a meeting in Washington or Jerusalem to discuss the situation further.

Kreutzer’s letter follows a scandal in the United States when Congressman Mike Loehner exposed the use of USAID to fund a Palestinian rapper in Gaza who created anti-Semitic content.

Ad Kan CEO Gilad Ah supported Kreutzer’s initiative and expressed confidence that Musk would respond positively. “For years, we have been monitoring international organisations trying to harm Israel. This appeal demonstrates a change in the Israeli authorities’ approach to this problem,” he said.
