Ukraine’s Defence Minister Rustem Umerov has announced the receipt of €10 million in assistance from Lithuania for the production of modern long-range weapons. This is the first tranche under the Memorandum of Understanding signed in December 2024.
“This weapon is already working effectively at the frontline, enhancing our range, accuracy and power,” Umerov said.
Ukraine and Lithuania are already preparing the next stage of cooperation – another tranche of EUR 10 million, which will allow for the scale-up of production and enhance the ability to deliver long-range strikes.
Umerov called it “a strategic investment in Ukraine’s strength and the security of the whole of Europe” and thanked Lithuania for its strong support and real contribution to the victory.
