On 10 May, a delegation of leading European leaders arrived in Kyiv to take part in a strategic meeting of the ‘Coalition of the Resolute’. According to Yevropeiska Pravda, French President Emmanuel Macron, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz arrived in the Ukrainian capital at the same time.
The official guests were welcomed in Kyiv by Minister of Foreign Affairs Andriy Sybiga and Head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak.
The visit of the leaders of the three key Western powers comes amid intense fighting and on the eve of summer summits to discuss long-term security guarantees for Ukraine. The talks in Kyiv are expected to focus on military assistance, Ukraine’s integration into NATO, and infrastructure rebuilding.
The meeting of the “coalition of the resolute” symbolises the consolidated support of European democracies for Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression.
