Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered to strengthen security measures at the country’s diplomatic missions around the world following the horrific murder of two embassy staff in Washington, DC. This was reported by the Prime Minister’s office on the X network.
“I have ordered to strengthen the security of Israeli missions around the world and representatives of the state,” Netanyahu said.
He also expressed his deepest condolences to the families of the victims, calling the crime a manifestation of anti-Semitism:
“My heart goes out to the families of the young lovers whose lives were cut short in an instant by a horrific anti-Semitic murderer.”
Amid rising tensions in the world, Israel is stepping up measures to ensure the security of its citizens abroad, especially in the wake of threats related to the war in Gaza and global acts of anti-Semitism.
As TimeUkraineIsrael reported, on Wednesday evening, two employees of the Israeli Embassy were shot dead near the Jewish Museum in the US capital.
