Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed dissatisfaction with the actions of his spokesman Omer Dostri during his official visit to Washington, as well as with the premature statement on the list of hostages from Hamas. This was reported by the Israeli TV channel KAN.
Reprimand for behaviour
According to KAN, Netanyahu repeatedly reprimanded Dostry for his behaviour during the flight to the United States.
Contradictory statement on hostages
On Friday, Dostri issued a statement that “Israel accepted the hostage list provided by Hamas”, but later corrected it to explain that he meant only that the list had been “received”. He called it a “technical error”.
Who is Omer Dostri?
Prior to his appointment as the Prime Minister’s spokesperson, Dostri was a media analyst and researcher, frequently appearing on Israel’s Channel 14. He succeeded Topaz Luke, who became an advisor to Netanyahu from the Likud party.
