Putin will not take part in talks – Kremlin

Russia has postponed the talks with Ukraine scheduled for today in Istanbul to the afternoon. At the same time, Vladimir Putin will not personally attend the meetings.

This was stated by Kremlin officials, CNN and Russian state media reported.

“No,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov replied briefly when asked about Putin’s possible participation in the talks in Turkey.

The Russian Foreign Ministry also confirmed the postponement of the talks. According to Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova, the dialogue will take place “in the afternoon” at the initiative of the Turkish side.

The Ukrainian delegation has already arrived in Ankara, where President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is also staying, and he has stressed his readiness for a just peace.
